BROOKVILLE & BROOKLYN, N.Y. -- Long Island University is pleased to announce the appointment of Nicholas Stanton as Head Cheerleading Coach for the Brooklyn Campus and Brenna Hart as Head Cheerleading Coach for the Post Campus.
Stanton brings extensive Division I coaching experience to LIU after serving as Head Cheerleading Coach at St. John's University, where he led the Red Storm cheer program at nationally televised athletic events, including the University's NCAA Men's Basketball Tournament (March Madness) appearance. During his tenure, he oversaw gameday performances, public appearances, and program operations while helping elevate the visibility and energy surrounding Red Storm Athletics. He also served as Co-Head Cheerleading Coach at NYU and is a three-time UCA All-American.
Hart joins LIU following a standout Division I cheerleading career at Syracuse University, where she served as captain of the varsity cheerleading team. She represented the Orange at marquee events including March Madness, ESPN College GameDay, the ACC Championship, and the UCA National Championship. Hart also earned her master's degree from New York University and brings valuable experience as both an educator and coach.

Together, Stanton and Hart will lead LIU Cheer with a focus on enhancing the student-athlete experience, creating an unmatched gameday atmosphere, and continuing the program's tradition of national success. Their collaborative leadership will strengthen one unified program across Brooklyn and Post while building on LIU's championship culture.
