BROOKVILLE, N.Y.– Freshman
Eden Stippick of the Long Island University women's gymnastics team was named East Atlantic Gymnastics League (EAGL) Co-Rookie Specialist of the Week, the conference announced on Wednesday. This is Stippick's second week in a row winning the rookie specialist of the week honor and third time this season.
Stippick matched her career best on the floor with a score of 9.700 for the third time this season. She was the second highest score on the floor rotation for the Sharks on Saturday.
Closing out the vault rotation for LIU, Stippick recorded the highest score for the Sharks with a 9.775 to place second in the event.
Through five competitions this season Stippick is averaging a 9.595 on the floor and 9.775 on the vault.
Up next for Stippick and the Sharks, the LIU women's gymnastics team travels to Cortland, New York on Saturday, Feb. 14, for the Empire State Collegiate Championship starting at 2 p.m.
